BBC Radio 1 have just announced the Friday line up for their 2025 Big Weekend in Liverpool. The announcement includes huge global names such as Tom Grennan, Katy B, Biffy Clyro and Nia Archives as well as plenty of local stars including The Wombats, Crawlers and Courting.

These acts will be kicking off the three-day music spectacular with an electrifying opening day on Friday 23 May adding to the already stacked weekend line up which features Sam Fender, Blossoms and Lola Young.
Tom Grennan, who will headline the mainstage on Friday 23rd, says: “Being asked to Headline Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Liverpool, a city that has given so much to the rich musical tapestry of this country, is an incredible honour. Radio 1 have backed me from day one from the humble beginning of the BBC Introducing stage for BBC, to BBC Introducing Artist of the Year 2018, and beyond. We have shared so many amazing moments on my journey so far, and to now go hand in glove and headline their event in such an incredible city will be another crowning moment for me and my career so far. See you in the fields ❤️ Tom x”
The station’s biggest event of the year, taking place in Sefton Park, Liverpool from Friday 23 May – Sunday 25 May, brings together the biggest international and UK artists in the world for an unforgettable weekend of live music with over 100,000 music fans expected to be in attendance.
