New York indie outfit Loose Buttons have a knack for creating catchy summer hits and stylised tracks that take hints of The Strokes but with much fresher, modern twists. Their new release ‘My Side of the Bed’ develops really nicely, leading from the more insular moody atmosphere of the intro to a more expressive finale full of vocal passion, gritty Indie power and infectious melodies that will ignite a fire within you.
These opening stages create a slightly spaced out atmosphere using layered guitar textures in a style similar to Fontaines D.C. However, as the song develops and the drum rhythm picks up energy the whole song begins to become increasingly outgoing and starts to really shine.
By the time the different vocal parts combine to form strong and undeniably catchy melodies towards the end you can’t help but want to sing along.
