This new release by Ramsey Elkholy AKA Monotronic successfully blends and brings together many different strands of creativity to produce “truly Collective music”.
With a funky drum beat that inserts itself straight into your bones, ‘Everything Moves’, sets a psychedelic tone for the whole song in the first few beats. It ends with a beautiful two minute instrumental that makes us lose ourselves completely in the tune. Listen with soundproof headphones for a truly transportational experience.
The inspiration for Monotronic comes from Southeast Asia, and according to Ramsey, “Monotronic is a concept, whereby each instrument can be heard as a continuation of the other and the music sound as one distinct whole, emanating from a single source”. Coming from experience with cultures that value the group over the individual and everything is shared, Ramsey Elkholy has created a truly representational piece of music. We cannot recommend this song enough.
