Liverpool songwriter Zara Smile releases captivating new single 'typical'!

Zara Smile’s ‘typical’ is an honest, dream-like lament, revealing romantic grievances.  The initial guitar strums provide a simple backdrop amplifying the intimate lyrics: "I feel everything ten times more", she sings, relating to her feelings regarding what appears to be about a tumultuous relationship.

Zara's lyricism is masterfully executed, she fluidly ebbs between directly addressing the songs muse and personal self-reflections in the true story telling fashion typical to Folk music, contributing to the mournful feeling evoked throughout the song.

The lyricism paints fleshed out scenes, while the drums pick up, creating an increased chaos. The instrumental builds to a powerful crescendo, serving as a cathartic release of frustration for Zara. Their voice mirrors screams of pain in a powerful final belt of the song’s chorus, truly reinforcing the singer’s frustrations. The song is excellently composed and is anything but typical.
