According to Manchester based indie rock artist Chloe Slater, you can’t put a price on fun, but you can sure have a lot of it at her sold out headline show in Manchester’s YES Pink Room. The last twelve months have seen Chloe go from a bedroom tiktoker to one the biggest rising stars on the Indie scene, and on night three of her sold out seven date UK tour she is proving the haters wrong and justifying her success.

The night opened with the electrifying Manchester duo, vincent’s last summer, an Indie Sleaze group ‘stuck in 2008’ relying on messages through a red landline to catch them up on the news of the world. Between their high energy riffs and stage presence, vocalist James Highland-Partington and guitarist Tommy Melbourne bounced off each other’s energy warming the crowd up for Chloe's headline set.
Opening with ‘Sucker’, Chloe stood her ground on not changing her appearance despite her newfound fame and continued to uphold her political and societal views for her ever-growing fanbase. In just 45 minutes her band ripped through her entire released discography, an unreleased track titled ‘Harriet’ – written about feeling jealous over your partners ex – as well as a cover of The Cure’s ‘Friday I’m in Love’.
Although having primarily built her fanbase from TikTok, Chloe Slater has proven that she has the chops to solidify herself in the UK live scene as one to watch in the coming year. With a packed room singing nearly every lyric back to her including breakout hit ’24 Hours’ to deep cuts ‘Imposter’ and ‘Thomas Street’, the night was an absolute treat and our only possible complaint was the broken heating unit turning it into one hell of a sweaty gig... then again, a sweaty sold-out hometown headline feels like a right of passage for any emerging star!
