Leeds-hailing L’Objectif are back with their second single of the year, titled ‘Burbank’. Although their discography encompasses many hybrids of genres, this track channels a pure, danceable Indie energy, perfectly fitting for the start of Spring. As the weather warms up, we need something to infectiously nod our heads to as we go about our days in the sun, and L’Objectif have provided us with that.

Saul Kane’s vocals remind us of Julian Casablancas, littered with audible breaths, emphasising the DIY energy that makes a good Indie tune great. These are punctuated, however, with a catchy chorus that we can already picture soundtracking a picnic in the park. Although the sound of the track undeniably makes you want to dance, the lyrics tell a darker story of the strenuous quest that is finding oneself. This juxtaposition, however, only makes the track more interesting.
