York based group Glass Caves return with their first single in 3 years in ‘Yes You Can’.
The track blends different elements of Indie-Rock and Pop which culminates into a nostalgic summer anthem, reminiscent of fellow Indie band Circa Waves’ early work.
Lead singer Matt Hallas, who cites The Strokes and The Red Hot Chilli Peppers as key musical influences, produces an infectious chorus that is paired with guitar riffs to form an upbeat, sun-soaked sound. The polished production creates a feel-good vibe that runs through the song, along with a memorable bridge which is our favourite segment of the track.
As a band that started off busking on the streets of York, it is clear they know what the people want. ‘Yes You Can’ is an addictive song that will leave you pressing replay over and over.
