Minneapolis songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Landon Conrath has shot to notoriety with hits like '2AM' which has amassed over 20 million streams. However, it may come as a shock to many to find out that songwriting was not something that came naturally. A drummer by trade, Landon spent his formative years keeping the beat in bands rather than fronting them and he found his voice almost by accident after friends encouraged him to do so at a pool party.
Yet we are glad he did! His new single is an infectious track built of a punchy, high-tempo drum rhythm and thick bass line that adds a flair and groove to the song. These instrumentals provide a wonderful energy but it is really the slick flow of Landon's vocals that offer the melodic interest. When the guitar line matches up with the vocal melody in the pre-chorus a wonderful balance of gritty and smoother tones is created, but the chorus that then kicks in is really what sticks with you!
An infectious rolling energy with undeniably catchy vocals that capture a nostalgic, coming-of-age freedom. A super fun single that makes us excited for what is to come in 2024 for Landon.
