If the distinctive textural vocal stylings of Sam Scherdel don’t immediately grab you then the dance-worthy funk-infused Indie bounce certainly will. The South Yorkshire songwriter has returned this year with a string of three singles, the latest of which being the electrifying ‘Too Shy’ that carries hints of Two Door Cinema Club thanks to the vibrant instrumentation and danceable energy.

The stripped back intro creates a spaced out atmosphere that showcases the wonderfully gritty bite of Sam’s voice while luring you into a false sense of security before plunging into the high-octane rhythmic bounce that makes you want to get on your feet right away.
The verses tease you, creating a pounding rhythm, constantly building up to the excitement of chorus which that whips you up into a synth pop sound storm full of infectious synth Melodies and a wonderfully sharp guitar line that injects some rock swagger into the mix.
An undeniably catchy track with a palpable energy. We can’t wait to see what’s next in store from Sam.
