The latest single from Portland outfit Myriads is instantly haunting. Full of an absorbing gothic indie poignancy, ‘Spider’ flicks between two states of being.

The early intimate acoustics quickly give way to the first of these states, a feeling of conflicted emotion as the gloomy, emo-tinged lead vocals clash with a bright and catchy indie guitar line and high energy rolling drum beat. The dynamics of this conflict are captivating and hook your attention for the first minute or so.
However, as the two minute mark approaches, a more purposeful and cohesive angsty sound emerges as the instrumentals and vocals start to synergise and leave a lasting note of unified feeling.
A wonderfully constructed single that’ll worm its way into your head!
