Danish outfit Love People have a uniquely blended sound that brings together the haunting quality of retro New Wave as well as the jangly rhythms of UK indie.
Their new single ‘Normal Bias’ carries some of the loveable melancholia of Joy Division yet delivers it with a smoother style that creates a really heartwarming effect.
The instrumentals lay down a hypnotic soundscape with a constantly bustling rhythm like ‘Big Mouth Strikes Again’ and a really earworming electro hook that emphasises that 80s feel.
Meanwhile, the vocals drift soothingly throughout the track delivery rich, poignant melodies that dive and swoop with a lovely flow. This is the perfect track for a contemplative late night drive and a kind of sound you will rarely come by.
