Hailing from the South Coast of England, Indie quartet, Pioneers, have been taking the industry by storm and receiving high praise from a host of new music tastemakers including BBC Radio One's Scott Mills, Greg James, Clara Amfo and Alice Levine. This hype has also earned them slots at Isle of Wight Festival as well as a string of tour dates with new music champions This Feeling. After the dense, bittersweet tones of their last release 'Talk It Out' they recently returned with their brand new single 'Cold For Zero'.
This new track offers a more expansive, more upbeat feel than their previous single, opening with a smooth, fastly-rolled vocal melody before diving into a high-energy Indie rhythm that is flavoured by the bright and energetic guitar line. These fast-paced lyrical flows remain a constant throughout and ring of the latest Jamie T record.
However, tonally, their sound leans more into the summery Indie sounds of Overpass and The Lottery Winners. It's feel-good, bursting with youthful energy and radiating with the trials and tribulations of romance. It finishes with an electrifying isntrumental finale led by the fantastic guitar line and a swirl of crashing drums! Another banger from the four guys!
