The haunting, echoed guitar line and soft vocal textures that open the recent single ‘myheadisbleeding’ from “sad-girl pop” quintet sorry, peach are merely a mirage. They tease you with an enticing allure before the full beast of the track.

Much grittier drums and a chugging guitar rhythm build the tension in an American emo style, ready for the melodies to kick in. The contrast of the punchy instrumentals and smooth vocal tones works really nicely, conveying the acceptance of defeat that the lyrics convey.

These lyrical sentiments, that depict your mental state as you’re on the cusp of saying goodbye to the one you love, lay at the heart of the track. They speak of that inner turmoil of knowing you need to part ways but being so attached to them that you just need to stay close. This aforementioned textural battle between softness and harshness captures this feeling to great effect.

They have then followed this song up with their latest release 'perfect', a blissful acoustic track brimming with romance, showcasing this softer, more delicate touch that they posses. The sound does build, as some pounding drums create a bigger impact and bring a swell of passion yet, the sentiment of the song remains pure and loving.

This is the first time we’ve come across these guys but we’re excited to hear what they else they’ve got coming this year as it’s clear they can master both ends of the tonal spectrum, floating between gritty Indie and angelic pop with ease.
