The Black Country’s own six-piece Baudelaire are back with another devastating groove, titled ‘No Future’, their first in almost a year.
Having formed in 2021, the band have come to be known for producing rebellious lyrics amongst intense, provocative electronic atmospheres. Amongst its danceable instrumentation, the track explores a theme of pointlessness. The repetition of "that’s the vision, there’s no future" in the chorus shows the band’s lack of enthusiasm towards the world’s current situation, and their worry for the future.
The thrilling fast-paced drumming of the single creates a feeling of worry and panic, and further casts doubt over the future, creating an unnerving sonic atmosphere the band have made their signature move at this point.
With this level of songwriting and musicality, it is no surprise that the band has already supported acts such as Courting and Crows in their short career. If you want a Post-Punk thrill, Baudelaire are for you!
Baudelaire are awesome!
