Undoubtedly one of our favourite discoveries from 2023, Indie newcomers The Mezz offer a sparky brand of Indie Pop that blends the slick rhythms and disco infused tones of The 1975 with a really expressive and soaring quality that takes their tracks to a higher level.
Their first single of 2024 ‘Harbour The Feeling’ was a joyous burst of singalong vocals and glimmering synth-laced sounds. The hypnotic guitar lines offering a Bruce Springsteen esc poignancy big instrumental stabs bringing a drama and power that the boss would we be proud of.
Now, they have returned with their latest single 'Now I Found You'. The vocals are as bright and melodic as always and the acoustic / synth blend sees them return to an uplifting 1975 esc sound. The chorus lines are just so anthemic and soaring that you can't help but want to singalong. The electro tones carry a more 80s tinge than there past releases but the punchy melodies have a distinctly modern feel.
This is yet another infectious hit from one of the UKs most exciting new Indie acts.
