One of the new artists we have discovered from across the pond in America is Ania, the female DIY songwriter from LA. Drawing on elements of Psych and Blues, Ania delves into the depths of heartfelt instrumentals with her renowned guitar talent.
Her new single ‘Poison’ showcases this talent perfectly, begging with a minute-long guitar solo intro that softly brings you into her sonic world. However, although Ania radiates a technical brilliance with her playing, it manages to avoid straying into self-indulgence. It builds a platform for the rest of the song to take over and create an ambient, psychedelic track with a slight haunting quality.
As Ania continues to hone her craft, her sound becomes increasingly intriguing. Certainly one to keep an eye on for the rest of 2020!
