With 2025 only just beginning, Manchester's Delights have just dropped their slick sophomore album ‘If Heaven Looks A Little Like This’. As you listen to this record you quickly discover their capabilities in crafting a multifaceted sound. With twelve songs, they open a kaleidoscope of different genres, flawlessly merged to create a vibrant start to their discography.
From their Indie-Pop lead off track, ‘Silk Skin’, it’s perfectly clear that their hearts are at the core of this album. Showcasing unfiltered emotions through a nocturne-esque style, their contemplative lyrics alongside gentle drumbeats and melodic guitr lines encompasses the passion that consistently fuels the album from start to finish.
At the middle of this album the track ‘And It Goes’ perfectly encapsulates the group's ability to transcend listeners from one genre to another effortlessly. With elements of Indie-Rock, this song is more gritty in tone than what's been previously shown to us.
As the album finishes with the beautifully acoustic outro ‘Adore Her’, the romanticism portrayed throughout the album sadly comes to an end, a beautiful conclusion to an album nothing shy of brilliant talent.
Despite ‘If Heaven Looks A Little Like This’ being released during the blues of January, listening to this album will take you on a journey to happier days. You can catch the album live on Delights' upcoming UK tour.
